QPS CEO Ben Chien has made it through to the round of 30 (31, actually) being considered for this year’s prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for the Greater Philadelphia area. The only competitive awards program in the world for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies, the 30 year-old program operates in 145 cities in 60 countries worldwide. Local winners may go on to receive national and potentially, worldwide recognition.
To Dr. Chien, who founded Quest Pharmaceutical Services (QPS) in 1995 as a single-site CRO focused on bioanalysis, the nomination is purely the fruit of teamwork across the entire company of 1150 people in the United States, Europe, India and Asia—and beyond. “Our success is the result of hard-working staff, trusted vendors, loyal clients, supportive investors and great community support,” he says. “We are all honored and excited to be recognized by the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Greater Philadelphia judging panel, especially out of such an impressive field of nominees.”
This year’s Greater Philadelphia finalists will attend a gala on June 9th at the Terrace Ballroom, Pennsylvania Convention Center, where the area winner will be announced. Past national winners include the founders of Starbucks, Whole Foods, eBay, LinkedIn and HSN. EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services and may refer to one or more of the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited.
