Wish I May is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the Springfield, Missouri, community striving to make a difference one child and one birthday at a time. The organization provides ‘Happy Birthdays’ to underprivileged children, between the ages of 1 to 15 years, in Greene County, Missouri. Wish I May reaches out to families who may be experiencing extreme financial difficulties and find it impossible to provide even the smallest birthday celebration.
By collaborating with local agencies, Wish I May provides parents with a birthday bag packed specifically for their child. Their bag includes a cake mix, icing, candles, birthday card, age appropriate toys, books, gift-wrap and tissue paper. Wish I May’s main goal is to set the parent/guardian up to be their child’s superhero on that one very special day each year.
In 2019, QPS Missouri employees donated gift items, gift bags, wrapping materials, cake mix, candles, frosting, banners, balloons, decorations, napkins and tableware.
